£50,000 – £53,000+ Door-to-Door (Higher for CO₂ & Ammonia Experience)
We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing and well-established engineering team covering the Birmingham region.
This role will primarily focus on industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, with a strong emphasis on CO₂ refrigeration. Ammonia experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential, as we are keen to speak with engineers who have solid CO₂ knowledge and are looking to further develop their skillset.
The Role
- Service, maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Working on CO₂ refrigeration plant across a variety of customer sites
- Fault finding, diagnostics and reactive breakdown attendance
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Participation in the on-call rota (currently 1 in 4, expected to improve as the team grows)
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Requirements
- Proven refrigeration service and maintenance experience
- Strong CO₂ refrigeration knowledge and experience
- Valid F-Gas qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ammonia experience and/or qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential
Package
- £50,000 – £53,000 (based on experience)
- Higher salaries available for engineers with both CO₂ and ammonia experience
- 40-hour week
- Door-to-door pay
- £225 standby payment per week
